Sometimes I mix it up and take it to a salon for application, which is easier than doing it yourself. I have grey hair with residual streaks of dark brown. I use vinegar. It covers my greys. It makes my hair feel strong. I use Auburn. It's maybe a little brighter red than I originally wanted. I was hoping for a kind of brownish red. But I'm used to it now and I like the color and sometimes get compliments. In my experience, rinsing with very warm water prevents bleeding. The few times I rinsed with cold, it bled for weeks. I kneel at the tub and rinse under the faucet, before getting in the shower to finish the rinsing. It takes too long to get all that mud out, if you go straight to the shower. This product is so much better than using chemicals!

The henna guys take the guest Work out of hair dye and hair products! I absolutely love my hair now and I get so many compliments on my hair now! I won’t go to the salon again! Every other day when I wash my hair, I absolutely find it a joy for the silky, smooth hair. That’s manageable! I love the Auburn, light brown and medium, brown hair dye. I love the Cassia and all the other hair powders they have I’ve tried all of them. I use their hair dying kit, and the lavender hair shampoo and conditioner and the detangler. I love them all. I cannot say enough positive about these products! My hair grew so fast after using these products I have to diet more often to keep up with the gray but it’s worth it makes me feel young again.

My hair is growing so fast! I get so many compliments on my hair, it feels wonderful young again! I love using the medium brown and light brown next to my scalp, and then I covered the rest with Auburn! I love using the Cassia, neem , and other hair powders, I alternate them! I love the lavender shampoo and conditioner, the conditioner, I love the hair dye cape and other hair products I’ve gotten from them!

I started with dark brown shoulder length hair with about 25% gray. I was wanting to color the gray auburn and add some shine. This worked for that! Online directions were clear and helpful. I combined light brown and auburn in equal parts (4 Tbsp each), because I had used another brand straight auburn before and it was too orange for me. I also used coffee instead of water. It’s overall a little more red than expected, but maybe because I had more gray than I realized. overall, I’m very happy with the result!

The auburn turns out quite red on me. (my natural hair color is grey at this point, last I checked). Colors grey well. I just want to say that for me, rinsing in very warm water is the best way to avoid color bleeding. Rinsing in cold water doesn't work at all for me. Hard to understand why the instructions say to rinse in cold water.

Works well and colors uniformly except for white/gray hair underneath. Will have to try using another color in addition to Auburn for the hair that frames the face. That needs to be darker.

I had previously used the "Natural Red" and opted for this Auburn instead hoping for a darker red without the orange, but also not "fake" looking like many red dyes out there. I am so inlove with the results. It is exactly what I wanted and everytime I "henna" my hair it is so soft and healthy looking. I cannoy believe I ever wasted time or money on drugstore box dye.

If you’re used to Lush’s henna but upset because they changed the formula, this is your review. I have my first batch of Henna Guys henna in my hair right now. I have used Lush’s Rouge for 7 years, mostly to cover gray. I never write reviews but after the ease of putting this on, I knew I had to, even before the color develops. No more grinding a huge block of henna! This stuff is already in a powder and mixes SO SMOOTH! It cut down my application time from an hour to just a few minutes. It went on so easily and I didn’t have the random clumps flying around my bathroom. If the color is anything like the application, then I’m ready to model.
