Some of us love it, some of us want to get rid of it - All in all, freckles are something which can't go unnoticed if you want clean and clear skin. Sure, they look great on your face and provide a sense of uniqueness, but not everyone is a fan of them.
In fact, some people would rather look for ways to remove them, if not, at least try to lower the spots.
However, freckles, just like acne scars and rashes, aren't easy to get rid of. As these pigmentation spots are caused due to over-exposure to the sun, they reside deep inside your skin. But it doesn't mean that you should shut yourself indoors or wait for winter. There are plenty of techniques you can try to get rid of them entirely, or at least dramatically fade them.
In this post, we've put together the following guide to freckles, and how you can get rid of them.
What are freckles and why do they occur?
Freckles are small brown spots on your skin, normally visible on the nose section and cheeks. They usually occur in people with:
- Light to medium brown skin
- Primary attributed to exposure to sunlight
- Possible genetic predisposition
They differ from dark skin patches and moles in a way that they lay flat on your skin. Also, studies show that Freckles aren't harmful or painful. The only difference they make is to change your physical appearance, which in most cases a lot of people aren't happy with.
